Honors Band

Cedar Valley Middle School Honors Band has been selected to perform during Arts Education Day at the Capitol on Wednesday, March 4th. The Texas Coalition for Quality Arts Education is sponsoring this event. Bands, Choirs, and Orchestra from all over the State of Texas submitted recordings to be selected for this prestigious recognition. Performance time and schedule is still being formulated. Details will be announced when they become available.

Career Fair

Parents,
Have you ever wondered how you can become more involved at Cedar Valley? Here is the perfect chance. Every year Cedar Valley hosts a career fair for the 8th graders. Consider volunteering an hour and a half of your time to show off what you do to our students. You do not have to give a speech, but rather just set up a display and answer questions as the students visit your table. Celia Eickbusch is the counselor in charge of the career fair and will be happy to answer any questions you have. This is a wonderful event for the students, but it takes volunteers to make it happen. See below for the official invitation!

Cedar Valley Middle School in Round Rock ISD will be hosting our annual Career Fair on May 6, 2015. We are hoping that you might consider participating in our Career Fair as a Career Representative. Students will have time to move through the fair between 12:20 and 1:00. Career Representatives will each have a table to set up a display and answer student questions as students come to your table. Career Representatives may set up anytime in the morning prior to 12:00. We are excited to offer this wonderful opportunity to our eighth grade students and look forward to working with all our representatives!

We would love to have you participate to showcase your field of expertise to our eighth grade students.

Please click on the link below and fill out the information requested if you would like to participate:

Choir Solo & Ensemble Results

We had a fabulous weekend at Solo & Ensemble competition. All solos and ensembles received Superior (1) ratings from the judge. This is the highest score you can achieve. She was extremely complementary of the performances and was even brought to tears by one extremely musical and touching performance by Savannah Wilder. That just does not happen very often! Please congratulate these students as you see them today!

The four Jaguar football teams lost only a combined 3 games all year. Kids that played on the 8th grade B team never lost a game while playing here at Cedar Valley. They were undefeated last year as 7th graders and again this year in 8th grade. Thank you to all of our hard working parents, our cheerleaders, our band, our SRO Officer Lewis, and Mr. And Mrs. Andrade for all their support! Congratulations Jaguars! On to basketball....
