Cedar Valley Middle School Mr. Borinstein’s Gateway to Technology students tested their ground effects skimmers today. A ground effect skimmer is like a hovercraft, but instead of having a fan blowing air down, air is forced underneath by a slope or wings. This vehicle can travel upwards of 5 meters on a smooth surface such as the hallway by Mr. Borinstein’s classroom.
