In August:  JAG Camp is held after new student registration for all new 6th graders to have the opportunity to participate in transition activities.  They then receive their schedule, books, and locker. Students have an opportunity to walk their schedule and meet their teachers.  Welcome Walk is also held in August. A staff member from Cedar Valley visits every sixth grade household to welcome the student to Cedar Valley.
