Cedar Valley Middle School hosted the first Rubik’s Cube Tournament of the 2018-2019 school year on Wednesday, October 20. Students from 6 schools attended the tournament. The students competed in team competitions in which a team of 8 students works together to solve 25 cubes in the fastest time. Students competing on a team were eligible to enter the solo competition. Fern Bluff Elementary’s team Bobcat posted the fastest time for the 2×2 and 3×3 Division 1 team competitions. In the Division 2 competitions, The Walsh Wildcats finished in first place in the 2×2 and 3×3 team competitions, with Cedar Valley finishing in third place in the 2×2 and fourth place in the 3×3 competitions.
